The Town of Charlotte Court House Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to receive public comments as noted below:
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comments regarding proposed amendments to the Town’s Water Connection, Application, and Rate Ordinance. The proposed amendments would:
- Remove the explicit “boring cost” charge from the connection ordinance; and
Establish flat connection fees as follows:- Residential / standard ¾"–1" tap: increase base fee from $2,000 to a flat fee of $3,500
- Up to 2" tap (small commercial/light industrial): increase base fee from $5,450 to a flat fee of $7,000
- 2" up to and including 3" tap (larger commercial): increase base fee from $10,900 to a flat fee of $12,500
A public hearing will be held at the Charlotte Court House Town Office, 350 George Washington Hwy., Charlotte Court House, VA 23923 on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible.
